Such a fun day! Emily found a great photographer that happened to be running a special. Get a free newborn photoshoot with the purchase of a maternity session. We met our photographer, Rebecca Winters, at a location she reccomended early one Sunday morning in late August. Little did we know that in a few short weeks Owen and Rose would decide it was time to make their entrance. The location was Smith Gardens nestled in the city of Oakwood. It was small yet beautiful! I have lived in the Dayton area for nearly my entire life and had never been to or even heard of Smith Gardens. The area was thoughtfully kept with gorgeous flowers and luxurious foilage. There was a petite pond and a charming garden house, both of which were meticulously kept. The pictures started next to the entrance on an aged brick road. Greyson was a natural. He followed the Rebecca’s instructions which made for some fantastic photos. Emily and I enjoyed the session almost as much as Greyson. The backdrop allowed for such a calm and relaxing photoshoot. We were able to get several great poses and even had the chance to remake some scenes from Greyson’s One Year Photoshoot. I realized about halfway through the session that my transistion glasses had transistioned and did not like that you could not see my eyes in the photos. I ended up taking them off for the remainder of the day. After the photoshoot we stopped by Bob Evans for breakfast and Greyson had the Piggy Pancakes of course.
